Spin Flash Dryer

Spin Flash Dryer is specifically used for drying of pastes, filter cakes and high-viscosity liquids. Spin Flash Dryer plant consists of feed system, drying chamber, cyclone separator and bag filter or scrubber.

Spin Flash Dryer Working Principle

In the spin flash drying process, the material is fed to the drying chamber from top using the screw feeder mechanism. The drying agitator is used as a rotor to break the lumps available in feed material. The hot air is also used at sensibly high speeds to dry and crumble the feed material. Broken lumps by the agitator are dried using the incoming hot air. At the end of the process, final product is separated from cyclone. Cyclone separator separates exhaust gases which can’t be directly released in the environment as per the pollution control norms. Hence, scrubber or bag filter is used for cleaning of exhaust gases to meet the emission requirements.
